An American Film about a Mexican immigrant family seeking “una vida mejor” (a better life) in East L.A. Mostly in English, with some Spanish (with English subtitles). El mexicano Demián Bichir interpreta a un hombre trabajador, un inmigrante que es papá soltero y busca darle lo necesario a su hijo con el propósito de que tenga una buena vida en Estados Unidos.
A devoted father comes into possession of a truck which allows him to earn a better income by taking more gardening jobs. But with immigration agents on every corner and vicious gangsters trying to lure his son into a life of crime, it’s a constant struggle to survive in East Los Angeles.
