Dr. David T. Yamada is professor emeritus of Monterey Peninsula College. His presentation will include an exhibition of posters that commemorate and also educate about the threat of nuclear warfare. The display of anti-nuclear posters will be on the walls of the Peace Resource Center during the month of August.
During his tenure at Monterey Peninsula College from 1971 to 1998, Dr. Yamada also served as chair of the Political Science Department. From 1986 to 1987, he was a Fulbright Visiting Professor at Hiroshima University in Japan. In 2000 to 2003 he was a senior policy director of the Panetta Institute for Public Policy. He has been an adjunct professor at Monterey Institute of International Studies and California State University at Monterey Bay. He and his wife Kathy have a grown daughter and son.
