Community Potluck and Program: Sunday July 7, 2:00 – 4:00 pm

The Monterey County Branch NAACP will host a celebration of the life and legacy of Medgar Evers on the 50th anniversary of his assassination.   Medgar Evers was a pioneering visionary for civil rights.  He was serving as Mississippi’s first Field Secretary of the NAACP when he was assassinated on June 12, 1963.

The event is free, everyone is invited,  and you are encouraged to bring a dish to share and your own plates etc.

Potluck at 2:00.  Program at 2:30.
