The award-winning documentary White Water, Black Gold, narrated by Peter Coyote, follows Canadian mountaineer and climate change activist David Lavallee on his three-year journey across Western Canada in search of the truth about the environmental impact of the proposed Keystone XL pipeline. From the Tar Sands of Northern Alberta, the source of the proposed Keystone XL pipeline, to the pristine mountain ice fields that are the source of the oil industry’s water, Lavallee discovers the threats to the third largest watershed in the world and two separate oceans.
