Synopsis: A romantic fable from Mexico, the tale’s heroine, Tita, the youngest of three daughters, discovers that her cooking has magical effects. Tita is distanced from her secret love interest, Pedro, by an ancient family tradition.
To be near Tita, Pedro marries her sister and Tita, who, as the family cook, expresses her passion for Pedro through the delectable dishes she prepares. Ordinary spices become a recipe for passion. Her creations induce tears, as all who partake feel her heartbreak with the same intensity. All the while, Tita and Pedro wait for the moment to fulfill the longing of their denied love!
